  • The priest (Fr. Jim) gives excellent homilies. Since there is a school attached, there are many young families active in the parish. Since it's right by Aquinas college, many students attend as well. Music is sort of folky.

  • I called and asked the parish to visit a young family with a newborn who has to have surgery and they jumped at the chance to assist this family.

this church is all well and good as long is there is pageantry, occupying the best seats, and prayers and proclamations using showy words, but when it comes to personal one on one ministry and just plain being human with another person when all the props are stripped away good luck unless you have money and status.

I worked in the catholic church for awhile, the person who oversaw what I did was well, involved in sexual immorality. They would come to a Mass after having been involved in drunken orgies from the night before. Because I worked in close contact with this person, myself and this person were scrutinized by the congregation and I really had to endure a lot emotional abuse from the this person because they were not mature enough to deal with the consequences of their lifestyle. What was even more disturbing was the congregation had a certain fascination with this immorality. Real Christians would judge it, test for evidence of what kind of spirit is ministering. They were more than willing to turn a blind eye and tolerate it, approve of it even requiring it. I eventually left but not before other terrible things under the guise of Christianity revealed their ugly heads. The Laity encourages young people to come to them and relate their tawdry tales of sexual experimentation and sexual immorality. Leading them on to think that lighting and smelling the fragrance of a scented candle will remove all guilt and consequence along with a few Hail Marys. So sad and perverted on the part of the Shepherds who say they are called to minister to the flock, not to be a voyeur to someone else's struggles, moral failures and misfortunes. Other parishioners are advertising online for illicit intimate encounters with same sex partners, looking to meet up with other people's wives and husbands, while posting indecent photos of themselves. And they wonder why real Christians would have a problem standing side by side with them ministering, not taking up a pew, but ministering to the body of Christ. The lax attitude and blind eye the congregation communicate to these so called Christian ministers emboldens them, while preparing their respective duties during the week to commit immoral acts within the private recesses of the church building itself. This is the kind stuff that "entertains" the congregation while they snicker and say to themselves; " it's not our place to judge." I've already taken heat for being disturbed by this institution's christian charade. They find out where you live and harass you in your neighborhood and home you've owned and maintained for 30 years, they try to disrupt your livelihood and try to drive wedges between yourself and the people in the community that rightly trust you and have only experienced good things from, with their mob cult mentality, and slander. Immoral champion boozers who mock marriages that have endured for decades, hook up with partners of the same sex and maybe throw in a couple lonely women who are content to settle for an intimate encounter with a couple men who are either divorced or in the closet about their sexuality, while slandering a person who they have a common disdain for. Christ says in Revelation that the Catholic Institution is a great wh....who entices innocent people to drink out of the chalice full of her sexual immorality and abominations. Christ pleads with His people to come out of her and repent. I suppose there are some real Christians in the Catholic church, but it's main god is the offering plate.• • •
